The composite insulator is composed of three parts: an insulating mandrel rod, a silicone rod rubber umbrella sleeve and connecting fittings at both ends. The insulating mandrel is the abbreviation of epoxy resin glass fiber drawing rod, which is the skeleton of the composite insulator, which plays multiple roles such as supporting the umbrella sleeve, internal insulation, connecting the fittings at both ends, and bearing mechanical loads, and has high tensile strength, generally up to more than 600Mpa, which is 2 times that of ordinary steel, 5~8 times that of porcelain materials, and has good dielectric properties and chemical attack resistance, as well as good bending fatigue resistance, creep resistance and impact resistance. The insulating mandrel is the abbreviation of epoxy resin glass fiber drawing rod, which is the skeleton of the composite insulator, which plays multiple roles such as supporting the umbrella sleeve, internal insulation, connecting the fittings at both ends, and bearing mechanical loads, and has high tensile strength, generally up to more than 600Mpa, which is 2 times that of ordinary steel, 5~8 times that of porcelain materials, and has good dielectric properties and chemical attack resistance, as well as good bending fatigue resistance, creep resistance and impact resistance. And it has high dirt lightning voltage and shatter resistance, uniform voltage distribution, compared with porcelain, its flashover voltage is less than 2 times that of porcelain under the same conditions.

The composite insulator produced by the company adopts the fittings made of special steel, and the end of the fittings adopts the labyrinth design principle, multi-layer protection, good sealing performance, which solves the key problem of the insulator and the electrical breakdown of the interface. The connection between the fittings and the mandrel adopts the computer-controlled coaxial constant pressure crimping process, and is equipped with a fully automatic acoustic emission flaw detection system to ensure the reliability and stability of the connection between the fittings and the mandrel. The mandrel is made of ERC high-temperature acid-resistant rod, and the interface between the mandrel and the silicone rubber is coated with a special coupling agent. The umbrella cover adopts a one-time integral molding process under high temperature and high pressure, and cooperates with the two-stage vulcanization process monitored by the computer to extend the service life of the product. Perfect production equipment and manufacturing technology, complete testing equipment and testing means ensure that the technical indicators of the product meet the relevant domestic and standards, and become the insulator of high-voltage transmission and transformation lines.

2. The composite insulator has high mechanical strength, reliable structure, stable performance and large margin for safe operation, which provides a guarantee for the line and safe operation.

3. The electrical properties of the composite insulator, the silicone rubber umbrella skirt has good hydrophobicity and migration, good pollution resistance, strong anti-pollution flashover ability, can operate safely in heavily polluted areas, and does not need manual cleaning, and can be exempted from zero value maintenance.

4. The composite insulator has the characteristics of acid resistance, alkali resistance, heat aging resistance and electrical resistance, good sealing performance, and no moisture in the internal insulation.

5. The composite insulator has good brittle resistance, shockproof strength table, and will not cause brittle breaking accidents.

6. Composite insulators are interchangeable and can be used interchangeably with porcelain and other insulators.


Metal crimp monitoring technology

The crimping process of the fittings is monitored by acoustic emission detection technology, which was previously only used in scientific research tests in the field of aerospace, and its sensitivity can distinguish the fracture of several glass fibers, and there is an audible and visual alarm device crimping quality foolproof. And the use of coaxial constant pressure technology, compared with the stroke positioning control, can overcome the instability of crimping quality caused by the size error of the fittings.
